Join us for an evening of bliss, partner yoga, and therapeutic flying by candle light. In this sweet playshop we will explore AcroMassage and Thai Massage. Going inwards, slowing down, and nourishing ourselves on every level. Can you say “mmmm”?In our trios we will rotate through the roles of basing flying, and spotting- and the energy of giving, supporting, and receiving. As a base you have the opportunity to hold some one up, to support a new (or dear) friend. Spotters are the most important role, as they are what keeps each group safe and allows the flyer to melt. And melting, well that’s what it feels like to fly, to surrender, to allow your base to support you, and gravity to open you. So. GOOD.Thai Massage is often called the lazy mans yoga, the receiver is passive and the giver stretches them out. The ancient form of body work is said to pre-date the Buddha, and combines elements of acupressure, energy work, and physically opening the body. A traditional Thai session is often two or more hours, starting with the feet and moving towards the head. In this workshop we move through mini sequences that target specific areas. Each participant will have the opportunity to give and receive.No partner, prior yoga or massage experience is necessary. Comfortable clothes are recommended.

Sound Therapy Group Session with Suzanne Sweet
What: Sound Therapy is natural healing based on the principal that everything has its own vibration. By using vibration through sound, with compassionate intention, we may experience harmony and wellness.
Who: Anyone can benefit from sound therapy sessions. It works well as a supporting modality for those who already consider themselves to be in good health. There are no guaranteed results, but it can be beneficial to those who have health challenges with any body system or function, including anxiety, insomnia, stress and pregnancy.
About the Sound: Various sound tools are used, including Tibetan singing bowls, chimes, crystal singing bowls, practitioner crystal singing bowls, rainstick, bells, tingshaw, vocal toning and meditation with the auspicious addition of aromatherapy for promotion of further relaxation and wellness.
The Guide: Your auspiciousness coordinator for this Sound Therapy Session is Suzanne Sweet. Suzanne is a certified reflexologist, a Certified Natural Health Professional (CNHP), a trained Sound Therapist and a member of the Maryland Reflexology Association, The Reflexology Association of America and the Bowie-Crofton Holistic Community. Owner and operator of her own business for years, we are in good hands with Suzanne leading this journey.

200 Hour Teacher Training
We are thrilled to announce our first 200 Hour Teacher Training. Our emphasis is to consider the important role of a yogi in the contemporary world. This means that we honor the foundation ancient teachings by knowing them and interpreting them for our lives with the hopes of sharing them with others. This training will provide a deep curriculum of asana practice, including an understanding of the various styles of yoga but primarily focusing on a Vinyasa Flow.
The special focus that is uniquely Ruah is our emphasis on learning to teach or practice with isolated, reluctant and indigent populations. This comes from our mission to truly put more mats on the Mother. We are not moved by an effort to shift yogis from gyms or studios to our floor. We are not moved by printing certifications and minting one new training class after another. We are mounting a revolution to cultivate true gurus. People who are driven to this from a primitive place. People who ultimately will invite those who cannot afford yoga, those who have no knowledge, experience or understanding and those who may be reluctant to put down a mat and move with breath.
We intend for our TT graduates to have an authentic sense of the importance of breath, meditation and movement as a basis and to pursue a deeper scholarly understanding of The 8 Limbs. This does not mean that everyone who takes this training must aspire to teach. You may intend to deepen your own practice thereby inspiring those around you or you may genuinely be driven to teach. Either way, we are looking for authentic yogis driven to learn and inspire. There is a strong requirement for a compassionate love of humans to undertake this training even if the human you are expressing your commitment to is yourself.
The training will be broken into modules and will take place over 8 months beginning with an immersion weekend July 17, 2015. During that 20 hour segment we will begin the introduction to Vinyasa Flow and assign all the reading, project work and practice requirements. The bulk of the program will begin in mid October. A more detailed syllabus will be provided to participants but a general sketch is below:
