The ancient Egyptians are credited with the practice of exfoliating as far back as 1500 BC. They knew dead skin is not radiant. Not good if you want to turn the Pharaoh’s head. We went to the experts in the land of Cleopatra to help you bring out your inner Queen. Empires will fall but your glow will hold up. Revealing the beautiful skin under the surface is a way of recognizing that every day is a chance to start fresh and begin again with your best face forward.
Why would you scrub?
The outer layer of skin is made of cells that have gradually migrated to the surface to die. Like your family at the holidays, the skin just lingers. Healthy skin is renewed every 30 days. Aged skin has a slightly longer renewal cycle. And so we exfoliate.
How would you scrub?
We use sugar as a natural base to remove these dead dry surface cells. This scrub will also remove dirt and grime, clean pores and help your skin breath. Exfoliation should always be done after cleansing the skin and using your fingers gently rub in a circular motion, rinsing when you are done. You can do this in the shower. This is exfoliation proper.
This Egyptian Sugar Body Scrub is made from all natural ingredients (organic sugar, lanolin, Egyptian cinnamon, and essential oils).
